Island Song

Island Song was performed as part of Rose Bruford College’s London Season at Stratford Circus Arts Centre in March 2017.

Originally written as a five-hand song cycle, this piece was developed into a full-scale musical by New York based writer/composers Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, in collaboration with Rose Bruford’s Actor Musicianship course. This was a world-premiere of a piece that takes us through the poignant and hilarious journeys of 15 young New Yorkers caught in a twisted love affair with their city.
